Doritos #BOLDChipmas

Challenge

Target a greater share of millennial audiences to buy more Doritos over Christmas, in the face of competition from a litany of snack providers. The need was to develop a strategy that found this audience on channels they use heavily.

Execution

A majority shift to digital for the first time for Doritos (traditionally TV heavy plans), a compelling socially motivated content narrative was created, a group of lads organising a kick ass party, featuring Doritos at the heart!

Doritos helped the boys go BOLD for Christmas (or Chipmas), delivering party inspiration for a group of party planner from parkour product delivery, to INSANE food ideas, original tunes and top dance moves - resulting in an insane party at the end captured in 360 video.

Result

Hugely successful, 25m lifetime campaign reach, impacting sales, with 15%+ YOY increase in sales from 2016 to 2017 with 10m+ video views across all platforms - bringing the BOLD home for Chipmas!
